Welcome critters, to my Q and A of the petpet laboratory!

The petpet laboratory (Also known as petpet lab ray) Is a petpet version of the original Lab Ray.
Here you can zap your poor defenseless petpets, in hoping it could turn into something spectacular.
Here is what can happen:
It can gain and loose levels.
It’s name can be changed to something like Kadoatie-Wannabe( for a list of names it can get check the Q and A below)
It can turn into a pile of soot.
Change its species and color.
Disappear forever.
Change it’s species to a lab only species.
Or do nothing at all

After your first zap some things will come in place like:
From now on if you remove the petpet, no matter what species or color it is, it will revert back to what it was before you zapped it.
When you look at the petpet it will tell you that it has been zapped.
That petpet will not be allowed to enter the PPL

Unless your petpet disappears, you are always allowed to continue zapping it. Even if it turns into a pile of soot you can still zap it.
Now hold one critters, now you need to know how to get acess to the petpet lab ray.

To get access to the petpet lab ray you need to have access to the Lab ray. To get access to the lab ray you need to collect all 9 pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map. Then you visit the Treasure Map Page and it will give you access to the lab ray.
Once you have the lab ray you can now spend more of your Neopoints on Petpet Laboratory Map pieces, all nine of them. Then visit the Treasure Map Page again, and you’ll have access to the Petpet Lab Ray, Horray

So you've gotten access to the lab ray, then you collected all 9 pieces for the petpet lab ray. Horray. Now it is time to pick a poor defenceless petpet to zap

I'm sure your SDB is loaded with cheap petpets you had from before, you you may have won from something such as the advent calender. Anyway if you dont have a cheap petpet just buy one, the reason why they are called cheap petpets is because they are cheap

I shouldn’t have to explain, just use a cheap petpet, because theres always going to be a chance your petpet will disappear.

Okay well, you have your cheap petpet, now attach it to one of your neopets. I really have no advice on what type of neopet to attach it with. So just pick one. If one of your neopets is emotionally attached to anything that is near it, I wouldn’t recommend giving it to them, because that petpet is going to change a lot

Now we enter the scary petpet lab. When you enter you'll see a very very scary kookith. That kookith belongs to the mad scientist that zaps the Lab Ray.
Anyway you'll come to a screen where you get to pick what poor petpet you would like to zap, and like the normal lab, the petpets would make sounds. Some are quite funny xD
Anyway when you zap it, you'll come to a screen where they show you what happened to your petpet. Then you can come back tomorrow and zap it again, if it's still alive

Q and A.
Q. Why is petpet lab ray so cheap?
A. Simply because it is a non-profit, if you remove the petpet it returns to what it was before. Really the only handy thing it does is upgrade your petpets level, which is useless unless you do the battledome

Q. If it renames the petpet, are you able to change it back?
A. Yes you can change it back Just visit your Quick Ref Page and click on the zapped petpet

Q. Can you paint the petpet after it’s been zapped?
Nope, you cannot, which is fair. If you want to paint it you’re going to have to detach it. It will revert back to it’s original form but still you can paint it again

Q. Hey my zapped petpet didnt win the PPL when it should of.. Why?
A. You were warned on the petpet page that this would happen. You cannot enter the PPL if your petpet is zapped.

Q. How many times a day can you zap?
A. Once a day if you try going again you get this:

Q. Are there any Lab only colors?
A.Right now theres gold, chocolate, jelly and strawberry. TNT seems to have already forgotten about them, but below are some of the petpets that can be changed to those colors.

Q. Can you earn petpet Avatars from zapped pets?
A. Apparently you can. I personally havent tested this.

Q. If your petpet becomes a krawk can you turn it into a neopet one?
A. No it’s been confirmed by noonoo you cannot do this.

Q. Great article, will you be writing more?
A. Now that this article is finished, I may be moving on to the normal lab ray, Quests and Faerie Quests.

Q.So you can get lab only petpets? What are they?
