The pet above is (currently) working for the Darigan Pteri avatar, so the new accepted theory is that you can only get it from a Darigan Pteri that is exactly 644 days old  I checked back the dates for Tercel, and it seems reasonably accurate as a theory.
Flameboy still has about 19 hours before it turns 645 days, so get the avatar if you don't already have it ^_^

Thank you kindly Juney. I'm not quite certain who it was that was the first person to discover this, but it seems like Garmfay was the first to post it on the Avatar Chat, thus making the fact well-known. I'm not sure Avatarlog deserves the wholesome credit for the discovery though

Oh, well, if they go to avatarlog, where most of the users on neodaq already have an account, they'll see the user that somewhat 'was the first' to post, find out, or whatever else he did.
Lots of pteri's in the timers now =P?
