Hopefully I'm understanding your question correct! 
For the past year (maybe longer?), the Wheel of Mediocrity was only awarding 5 or 6 of the total prize slots that actually appear on the Wheel; the other remaining prize slots (including 1000 NP and the avatar) couldn't be won.
Now the odds of spinning ALL of the possible slots have been evened out more and it's definitely more possible to get the avatar now!

Yeah, that was what I was asking. XD Wow, I didn't even know that. No wonder I couldn't get anything but 50 Np, or get bitten... or rained fire on. x_x Well, now I have a real reason to play the game now (...just to get the avvie, of course).

I wondered why I never won anything decent on there...and I've been spinning it at least once a day for months. I finally got the avvie a couple days ago, hurray!

 It was broken?! Why didn't I guess this earlier?! I've played that thing every day for years and just thought I'd gotten really unlucky there lately!
Just recently I've won (another) Searex and even had the utterly pointless Grarrl spot, things I've not had since I started playing way back when. Can't wait to get the avvie - at long last!

And apparently the other wheels were also rigged. Got the mystery slot on the Wheel of Exitement 5 or 6 times in a row
