On my pound account, I now keep a pet called Ricewind, after Rincewind from the Terry Pratchet books. Right now he has a Tyrannian Spardel, to whome I intend to add a Grumblebug, BUT I am also sorely tempted to give him a Millipod instead... it looks rather more like the luggage from the books.
I am not manic about duplicating characters feature for feature, I am quite happy to change them and make them my own, but either petpet option seems viable, and I am in want for a second opinion..... ....anyone?

Ooooh... take the Millipod! I love Terry Pratchett, and the Starry Korbat is the ideal pet to be Rincewind

The grumblebug would be funny though.... and a tyrannian spardel does cover the "I'm going to completely ignore you and I can hurt you if you don't do what I say" aspects..... don't you think?

Yeah, I agree with the Ricewind, Max, and The Bug thing. They look really cool together .

I like the Millipod; I haven't read the books so I don't know about "luggage," but I think it's cute and personable.
But of course it's up to you what will suit your pet best. Many nice folks here suggested I get a Green Tentacle for my Maraquan Acara and it was a PERFECT match (it looked EXACTLY like one of my pet's tentacles!). But I kept it for a few weeks and it just didn't feel right, and if you believe me, I got the distinct feeling my pet didn't like it. So I wound up removing it. If you've had the Spradel for a while and it technically could win PPL someday, just be sure that you really want to make the change before you remove it.

I haven't read the books but I do have a friend who loves to talk about Rincewind and find ways to fit "luggage" into his characters' equipment in roleplaying games. So, I get the joke to an extent and I do think it's funny...but I like the Spardel and Grumblebug much better.

Well, most people here, and the two people from my guild who responded seem to like the Spardel/Grumblebug combo. "Max" is in no danger of winning the PPL I'm afraid, so it's not really a factor. The millipod is definately the more instantly recognizable choice to play the "luggage" in our little play, and if we must be honest with ourselves, it matches the stary korbat better colourwise. My problem with it is a small complex I have with the "mechanical". WHat can I say, I don't like robot pets. ...and electric gizmoes don't fit in well with my little fantasy-based community of pets - living as they are in a technologically advanced Neopia.
So I am at an impass... I am hesitant to attach a petpetpet to Max if I think I might change my mind later... ...on the other hand, as I said, I do like to make characters my own,: change them a bit here and there so they become Neopian and become different...
Oh yarg.
