I can't explain everything.. try some guides.. like Laoran_Flare.. but the clue is inside the Hall of Heroes.. I'll tell you the first set of steps..
Go to the observatory and click Return to the Hall of Heroes.. you'll look out a window.. then click on one of the dots between Altador and Jerdana.. you'll get half-the constellation.. then go to the archivist..
