Q. Why doesn't my equipped petpet appear on the Shop Wizard?
A. A while ago Neopets changed a batch of Aquatic and Spooky petpets to completely different petpets. If yours does not appear on the Shop Wizard it could most possibly fall into this category. Also, you should feel special; very few of these are still equipped to pets!
Q. What will happen if I unequip my petpet?
A. The petpet will change into its new version. The only way to keep it as is is to leave it on your pet.
Q. What will my Spooky petpet change into?
A. These are all the Spooky petpet changes that have taken place (with the original on the left, the new version on the right):
Baby Vampire - Snorklin
Cyclopian - Meowclops
Fat Cat - Baraga
Grackle Trap - Gremble
Redtail - Candy Vampire
Rotten Egg - Furwitch
Scary Jack - Snomorg
Skeleton Pirate - Goulblee
Sugar Rush - Pwerko
Q. What will my Aquatic petpet change into?
A. Unfortunately, a large number of these are unknown. The few that are known are, however (original on the left, newest on the right):

Q. My Aquatic petpet is unknown, how can I help?
A. First of all, don't unequip your petpet if you're going to regret it later! Your petpet will have had to be on your pet for a while now, and very few of these are still attached to pets. However, if you're still willing to take it off to help, it would be very much appreciated! If you take your petpet off and it changes please post what it was originally and what it has changed into.

The Gomer turned into a Filamen and the Gulper turned into a Gulper. (Same name but different images.)
According to a text file I have saved to my computer the Swirly turns into a Sproing and the Alfy turns into a Pfish.
The info originally came from posts people had made here at NI.

Man, I wish the Grackle trap was still really a petpet, I love mine, but I wish it could be a PPL pet and have associated items like the Gruslen and other pets do, oh well.

Those Grackle Traps are neat. I going to suggest to TNT that they should make a petpet similiar to that. Probably a Geraptiku Petpet.

I like the Baby Vampire. I adopted a Halloween Grarrl a while back, and I have this whole vampire personality for him, and I now wish I could have attached a Baby Vampire...oh, the possiblities. Air_Pirate, we should suggest it to TNT, the more people suggest it, the better the chances ;).

i'll answer the red tial question.The redtial really doesent exist any more. I know a lot about aquatic petpets.you cant buy a redtial and no random event.

I think it would be highly unlikely that TNT would give the PPL award to one of the previous incarnations of the petpets as seen above. However I don't think we have heard anything official from TNT about this, so you never know.

Hey, I think the PPL question would be like in the Editorial a couple weeks ago:

(just scroll down to the Baby Vampire to read it verbatim)
It basically explains that if the actual item number of a petpet hasn't changed (as in the Baby Vampire/Snorklin), the petpet IS eligible for PPL. If a petpet changed into food/other items (and I don't remember anything about THAT happening), then no PPL.
(A MORPHED petpet--morphed by a potion--would not be eligible, I believe, though I don't remember where I heard that. I just know it wouldn't be fair to other players.)

I tried to use a petpet paintbrush on my baby vampire and it turned into the snorlkin. Gosh i want my baby vampire back.
