Items to Make Your Pet Sick

|
There are many delicious foods in Neopia to feed your Neopet, but there are those that your pet won’t appreciate. There are those that will give your pet horrible diseases! 
Items to Make You Ill
1) Rotten Omelette
This omelette was left in the sun too long. If you get this from the giant omelette I wouldn’t give it your neopet as it will give them Ugga Ugga.
2) Poisonous Jelly
Be careful when visiting the Giant Jelly. Feeding your pet this purple jelly will give your pet Neomonia.
3) Poisonous Lollypop
Jhudora must be up to something giving this out to neopets. This quest prize will give your pet Floppy Tongue.
4) Poisonous Mushroom
This is a rare and retired mushroom that used to be available from the apocathary. Eating this will give Neopox!
5) Ferocious Negg
This is a weird negg available only from the Negg Faerie. This will give your pet a random disease but on the positive side it will give your pet a few strength points.
Other Ways to get Ill
1) The Wheel of Excitement
It’s not as nice as it looks. This wheel will give your pet a disease if it lands on the skull and crossbones. The disease is not random, but it changes every so often.
2) The Wheel of Misfortune
Well it didn’t get its name for nothing. Landing on ‘Pox’ will give your pet a random disease!
3) Random Events
A random event can make your pet ill with a random disease. If you’re extremely unlucky Hubrid Nox may make all of your pets ill!
4) Battling
Some Battledome items will give your pets a disease if your opponent uses them against you. Watch out for Poison Snowball, Poison Snowflake, Poison Dart, Super Poison Dart, Mysterious Hemlock Dart, Super Hemlock Dart, Buzz Poison Blaster and Vile Swamp Water as well as others!
There may be more food and weapons added by the neopets team in the future so watch out, especially if anything looks a bit poisonous.
If you’re looking for Meuka you need Neoflu or Sneezles. The only way to get these diseases is from the Ferocious Negg, Either wheels or via the random events so don’t feed your pets any other of these horrible foods.
Note: Several of my pets were harmed in the making of this article.

Yeah, it was in another thread last month about certain pets and what happens when they eat a certain thing. like pteris are cured and bloated whenever they eat a worm item.
maybe you should get some of those pets and test them?

I thought the poisonous mushroom got disabled and turned into regular food only after people were abusing it to change their diseases in a war a long time ago, are you sure about that?

I have a Quiggle and he gets the neezles after eating anything with cream. Ice cream or any of the cream dessert items.

hey i just tested a green apple on my kyrii and he got itchy scratchys. Im not bothered as i want neoflu/sneezles for meuka. My kyrii's my test pet who i will soon lab and i use to test enemies if that have a disease attack.

Quiggles get sick from ice cream because they are cold blooded and their blood changes temperature according to their surroundings, it's one of the fun facts on ppt :-D

As far as I know no food makes those particular species sick.
I presume not as they are toys, not food :P

woahhh intresting.... i never knew.. buhh like... i fed my pet posionous jelly and nothin happened..... i unno.. mabye it was summin else *shrug*

I don't know if this is true anymore, but there is/was a chance of not getting the disease when you eat Poisonous Jelly. Everytime my pet eats it, nowadays, he gets Neomonia.

Strangely enough, a poison snowball has no sickening effect when eaten.
(tested on a Grarrl, but I expect it wouldn't have such effects on Skeiths either)

This is from Issue 76, so it means that some Kyrii get sick by eating meat(That is very rare)

I believe it's not 100% guaranteed to give you an illness, I've manged to feed my pets the poisonous jelly and them be fine but more often than not they get sick so I generally just discard them now

There are currently no such items. The only item that you can get Sneezles or the NeoFlu from is a Ferocious Negg, which gives you a random disease.

Darn, I really want to get Meuka as a BattleDome Challenger! I keep on spinning the Wheel of Misfortune for it to land on Pox, but when it even does land on Pox, it's not Sneezles or Neoflu...

Well, I was luck enough to land on "Pox" and be infected by Sneezles on my first attempt, but it could take a while for you to get Sneezles.

I think you should eat a ferocious negg, if you are unlucky you get one of that diseases, if you're lucky you get some strenght points.

Also try the Wheel of Fortune...my pet got sneezles off that wheel. It took a while, but it did eventually happen.

yup your'e right.. I have a skeith and anything with cheese will give him the neezles. He says "aw..you know cheese makes me puke!" First time he piped up this statement I almost rolled of my chair. Just gotta love those skeiths!

The problem with the Wheel of Excitement is that the Neopets Team picks a certain disease for the wheel and keeps it as the given disease until they finally decide to change it again. It would be best to check with other people to find out what the current disease is if you are trying to get Sneezles or the Neoflu.

Yesterday I played the Wheel of Excitement and it landed on the skull: my Pteri got Shaky Flakys. Luckily I already had the right medicine...

Oh, and I think that any food with 'Chia' in the name will cure a Lupe =) I haven't tried it, but you nebver know.
