Well first of all you need to have the image you want to use hosted somewhere on the internet. On a site that allows direct linking. Then you put the url of that image in the little box on this page where it says:

URL to your picture (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)
that should work ;)
