Can you see your own post?

When I post, I never see it! Does that happen to everyone?

Re: Can you see your own post?

It's because you're new. It's just a way for the moderators to check to make sure you are adhering to the rules. It will subside once you reach a certain number.

Re: Can you see your own post?

Okay, thanks!

How many posts do you have to make?

Actually it is more like when Webbie (the Webmaster) sees that you aren't a bot or a person trying to steal other people's passwords etc.
There isn't a set number of posts you need to write to get out of it.

Just be yourself, post and stick to the rules and you'll be out of it in no time.

Eeesh.

Normally, though, it seems like 50 or so should have you in the rights.

Re: Can you see your own post?

Oh, I never knew that if you were new, you couldn't see your own posts......Interesting..... Well maybe I never knew that cause I'm always like this: with my head in the clouds...or I'm like this: ..Hee hee.....

Re: Can you see your own post?

I didn't know that either. I do notice that I can't see posts sometimes, and yet the lightbulb is yellow. It leads me to assume that something's up with the forum. *shrug*

Re: Can you see your own post?

i don't remember this ever happening to me when i first joined? although it did happen like 2-3 years later when i already had posted a few times and suddenly all my posts had to be reviewed first before it showed up on the boards

Lol yeah! I can imagine how it would be pretty worrying when you're new to the board. I know I wouldn't want to mess up posts and embarrass myself in front of a bunch of strangers!

I don't suppose there would be a way to inform new members of this reviewing period? Just to put their mind at ease and stop them re-posting endlessly!

Actually it does say their posts will be reviewed initially when they sign up...
