Re: Is this site dead/dying?

Webbie is away having a baby, which is why the front page has not been updated for a while (as she just doesn't have the time to keep up). However the items database is still continually being updated with new items. So no, it is not dead.

Admittedly the forums have been corpse like for a while, but the database is still the most up to date you will find.

So there.

Keep in mind, you leaving would be your loss, not ours.

Also keep in mind that if TNT doesn't actually release the items they mention in the news, there's little that we can do about it.

Sometimes it seems like that, but just give it a little more time. I'm sure that people would be dissapointed if anyone left without talking with webbie first. She'll be back soon.

I wonder why that is? This used to be such a busy place.
There used to be a lot more people helping out members. I'm as bad as anyone else. I used to help out a lot more before as well.

Much as I hate to say it, I think Jellyneo getting an item database probably has a lot to do with it, as they are such a bigger site with a whole team of people working on many different features...

But still, we will go on!!

Re: Is this site dead/dying?

I think it's largely because the front page hasn't been updated in forever. A website's index page is the first thing they see when they come to visit, and can make or break its success/popularity. People come, they see it hasn't been updated, they assume the site is dead, and they go elsewhere.

<3 I leave a lot but I always come back. Lately I have been training for a new type of postion at my job and my lovely neopetting time has been cut off. I still pop in on you all from time to time.

Same here, due to college and being in the military, I'm on and off of my Neopets kicks. I always return though, to find which types of items I want to collect this time.

Re: Is this site dead/dying?

Neoitems really isn't doing too badly yet. It's hanging on to a PR of 3, which isn't too shabby. I'd guess in its heyday it was probably more like a 4, but 3 is definitely nothing to sneeze at.
