New plot?

The Neopian Times makes some mention of a coming Faerie War. Do you guys think it's a new plot, or just an April Fool's joke?

I'd certainly like to see it as a plot. (Was there an April Fools' joke this year? It would be strange for them to skip it.... They take such relish in jacking with us.)

I hear they claimed the Battledome was closing down, though I didn't see it for myself. The battledome is a place I only ever visit for plots, and since it was a Sunday, there was no news post and so I didn't hear anything about it 'till it was too late. If anyone took any screenshots I'd love to see them!

Actually, when I mentioned that there was a new plot coming up to my friend, we both were hoping it was some sort of "Faerie plot"---but that was just us talking to ourselves. But nonetheless, I really can't wait to do another plot. ^^

The 'April Fool's Joke' of the 'Faerie Wars' was initiated by writers/artists who submitted to the Neopian Times. It was completely made up by users, not the staff.

I am not sure whether there will be a faerie related plot, but yesterday I got a random event for the first time, where the Faerie Queen summoned me to Faerieland - and I was automatically redirected there without clicking on anything.
Anyone else ever gotten that one?

Very old event... annoying to when you're trying to play Pyramids.
Well we know there's a new plot on the way after they were not so subtle on its future existence in the Editorial a couple of weeks ago.

if you read the news for 6th April, it says:
Before writing news today, has anyone seen Sweetheart the Polarchuck? We haven't seen him in awhile and we are worried...
Anyway, we have a NEW GAME today. Snowbeast Snackrifice... (Let us know if you see Sweetheart will you?)
This week's Petpet Spotlight award goes to ... We will have to get their autograph for Sweetheart... When we find him...
Maybe these plushies from the Plushie Palace will help cheer up Sweetheart's owner while we look for Sweetheart. *Quivering Lip*
maybe tnt is just messing with us. or maybe it's a new plot (but not about faeries)
btw, who is Sweetheart the Polarchuck? i never heard of him in any game or whatever

O.O Wow. It was just a little joke to go along with the news. I guess if we don't make plots up fast enough, you guys are more than happy to provide them for each other yourselves! ;) To make things abundantly clear, Sweetheart is NOT findable, nor related to any plot or activity. It was just a fun way to introduce the latest game.
And I remember hearing of Sweetheart before, but I can't remember where exactly... or why..

So, just to summarise, there is as of yet no new plot, sadly. The Sweetheart one was introduced as a joke just to promote the new Snackrifice game, and the faerie wars was just an april`s fools joke. (so let´s sit down and wait some more)

Wow, the Neopian writers sure got me! I actually thought there was a Faerie war plot! And I don't know who Sweetheart the Polarchuck is either....hmmmmmm....

It was just a joke I believe, and thank goodness, if it was a war, I couldn't participate at all.I BLOW in the Battledome.
