I guess this is a good idea, but it would be a bit stupid, unless you want other Neopians to get better pets. I guess it would be a very good idea if you've got a guild for stuff like this.

I would if I could, but with only one piece of the lab map so far it's going to be awhile!  I got my faerie blumaroo from someone who was doing something like this. As it is, I'll take in a foster pet every now and then and feed it, equip it, raise its stats before putting it up for adoption again.
I'm confounded how it can be construed as 'mean' to take a pet that no one wanted and then paint/change them so that people are then tripping over themselves to adopt them.

if i zapped my pets i wouldn't abandon them afterwards!! i mean, yeah it would be nice for other people but i dont like feeling bad when you abandon pets.....

I voted for Sure do! Cause i co-own Golden Adopters, i adopted pets and zap em good! Then i put them in the pound for a person to adopt it 
I love helping pets out!!!

I voted sure i do! If I paint them there happy and they have a happy owner that liked them! I mean do People adopt pets that dont stand out!

I've zapped a few pets from the pound and put them back for adoption: Psychoistic, Kiringaru, Osenay and Mavilin. Now I'm concentrating on zapping 2 of my own pets

i CAN'T believe a true neopet player would do anything like that  I mean i have the beam and i zapped my pet and it turned into a moehog  but still i kept it no matter how much i disliked moehogs because i knew that only keeping a pet because it isn't a good-looking species is a really mean thing to do. I know i'm not the only person with these same thoughts about this right???  *HAVE A GREAT DAY*

Er... Sometimes people adopt pets from the pound, zap them, and put them back in so they can find a new owner that will keep them. Usually these kinds of people are the ones in pet painting guilds...
I use the ray. On Celibei. Near Kau day, I'm turning her back into a kau.
