just recently my acara got turned into island color...i would never abandone her, eventhough her stats suck...

I am part of an adoption agency! I adopt, zap, make happy and feed the pets that come in my home. I don't just abandon them tho...I give them to people that I know will do a good job

I have access to the Lab Ray, and my Shoyru turned Desert.
I kept waiting for my Zafara to turn Faerie but then I couldn't wait and blew 200k on a Faerie PB....her name is xxfaerie_dreamerxx if you want to see.  I would adopt a pet from the pound and zap it in the Ray but I'm still training
my Red Acara...nothing good has happened yet..

I don't consider it abandoning them. I see it as giving an otherwise undesirable pet a fighting chance. Not only do I zap them, but I increase their defence, strength, movement, level, etc. giving them a better chance at being adopted.

my friend evan once zapped an aisha named cornstapated, and it turned disco! lol!! i was there when it happened and we just stood there lookin at the comp screen...... lol!!

My guild has been doing an Outreach Program where we zap and train and paint pets and put them back for other people to enjoy. We even track them here: http://www.naeguild.com/outreach.htm
We used to put messages in their pet lookups too until Neopets disabled that....great fun though!!
