I would...but I want to train my pets a little more for now...once I get TMFP to 50 hp, Superdude to 100 or 200 (not sure yet), and Constanzo to 250 or 500...I will, but until then they take priority.

I belong to 2 different adoption guilds that are dedicated to just that, raising abandoned pet stats and putting them up for adoption.
So if anyone wants a particular pet, let me know and I'll check my guilds adoption pages for you.

it's strange, when i got a new acount just for an ixi and the lab ray, i adopted a pet and then adopted another pet to zap and then put back in the pound. the problem was that i got so attached to that pet that didn't want to put it back in the pound

I zap my pets, but only because I want to make the stronger, I don't plan on abodening them, though!
Although, I might take in a foster pet when I have my other two where I want them, then I'll aboden them when it has good stats!

I have one account where I adopt neopets and train, paint, and make them better so that people will adopt them. I don't keep them because I will forget about them and it wouldn't make any since to not give them good homes.

I'm in a guild called -AdOpTeRs- and i have a lab map so i zap pets from the pound and find them new owners. I just recently found a faerie uni and a spotted blumaroo new owners, i feel so good

I have four pets that i'm really attached to... But I would do that if I could! Too bad neopets doesn't let you have five pets at a time or an infinate amount... Then I could do that!

First collect all the lab map pieces. Make sure they are all in your main inventory. Look up the game treasure maps. There should be a bunch of links at the top- click the one that says labrotory. There should be a button to collect your prize and go to the lab.

I think it's kinda mean to do that  .  No offence 2 the people who do, but I wouldn't EVER!!! I do paint some of my pets, but I would never abandon them!!!!!

Yes, I sure do! It gives them a better chance in the pound. It's a benefit for the pets, but does nothing for me, and I am happy with that. I zap them in another account, though.

I don't think I would do that, because that would not be nice and I like to treat Neopets fairly. Plus, they might not like their next owner and then it will turn into a big deal. Plus, I'd probably keep a journal about what happens to my pet each day it gets zapped.

i don't, but i've adopted 2 zapped and abandoned pets from savethelostneos, a ghost shoy and a rainbow kau. if i get a map set, i'll do the same!

i cant since i have 4 pets and i dont have all the space map peices plus i wouldnt do it i f i didnt have those things becuz i think the lab rays awful i mean who wants to transform their pet definitely not me

Well, that IS something I've done in the past, but now I use it strictly to improve killerpup's stats.... When I'm satisfied (hp 350+--> still have a long way to go) I'll stop using it and turn him back into a lupe!!

I honestly don't see why its so mean. I'm helping poor pets from the pound that people just got rid of and i'm making them strong, i feed em, and paint them so they can find a new owner and not have to live in the pound where no one wants em. and it makes me feel good
And yes, i use to believe that people needed to work hard to buy a paint brush and train there pet but paint brushes have gotten SOOO expensive! and theres so many pets in the pound that are just sitting there, miserable, and starving

Very good Idea, it sounds mean adopting a pet, making it good and then abandon it, but in fact it's great because more pets will be adopted!

I do, whenever I feel like giving Kaliiisan a break for a while I take in a pet. I don't really think of it as abandoning them when I put them back in the pound though. I mean, isn't the person who created and got rid of them in the first place the one who is abandoning them?
I think of myself more like a way-stop.
Besides, once I'm done with Kaliiisan, how much sense does it make for me to have something I spent 90K on just sitting around when I can, in essence, get Paintbrushes from it? It's like donating PB's to the Money Tree for whomever is lucky enough to benefit from my good fortune. (It doesn't hurt the pet to have a fancy paint job either.  )

I do in two accounts. I'm in a guild that does it to help unwanted pets find homes. And if I didn't then I'd have a lab map that went to waste cause my pets are pretty much the way I want them...*laughs*

 No...No!I don't zap my pets once I zap them i will not abandon them...I will only abandon them when I am not happy with their defence,strength and movement. 
but I will not abandon Douglas and Elizabeth because they will always stay together!!! And their defence,strength and movement are great...
