Hello! I am new! I really joined just to ask a question that has had me wondering for the padt week or so:
In the MIA section it says something along the lines of "we know these items exist because of the Shop Wizard" but I was wondering how the well-dressed JubJub says this, so I tried searching for an item on the list and then I searched for a "Wand of Sunnova", and the result was the same
Searching for ...
I did not find anything  Please try again and I will search elsewhere!
So I was wondering how you know that those items really exist. Thanks.

It's the "Wand of Supernova." When you enter something spelled wrong, the wizard will give you a "..." response, because the item you entered doesn't register as existing.

No, I made up the "Wand of Sunnova" to see if there was any difference between an item that doesn't exist and one that does but that noone has. My question is how do we know those items exist?

Oooh! Well, one that has been entered into the Neopets databse might not have been officially or actually released into the shops. So, it shows up when you search for the term.
It's MIA, meaning it will at somepoint be released or be deleted. I dunno how exactly they find the MIA items, but I think it's random guessing and messing around with spellings. Sometimes they get lucky and sometimes they don't.

So those names may not be real? I mean, Voodoo Santa could be pretty accurate but things like Power Vacuum... oh, and I spent about 50 NPs asking for those items in the wishing well:P

Well, if it comes up on the wizard, it was entered there at some point by Neopets staff. So it's got to be accurate, even if they never release it or have forgotten about it.

Yes they are real...they may not be there now, but they were at one point. If the Webmaster doesn't have a confirmed name through the Wiz or Auction Genie the name is listed as '???'

and asking for MIA's wont work cos theyre not released :P plus, the wishing well is a waste of money, there are so many players now that the chances of getting anyting are minimal!

Although the chances are minimal, people do get items.
