Wow.. nice find!  I found this TCG.. I dunno if it means anything.. 
Mark of the Scarab.
Once you were a Desert Scarab, you were one for life.
The mark of the scarab might be important because I saw some of the people having the mark of the scarab on their right hand shoulder.

Unless it becomes more in some way, it just means they are part of the 'Desert Scarabs' a gang of petty thiefs.

Nem scroll is called Decorating with sand - Winter Quarterly
Kha scroll is called Desert tent zoning regulations
Not sure about the others yet but i'm sure we'll figure it out, there are lots of smart cookies on this site
