If i'm correct the main charcters are a lupe (tomos), an ixi (Nabile), a kyrii (Prince Jazan), and aisha (princess amira) and possibly a fire faerie called Nuria.
These seem to be characters i've seen mentioned and ones most likely to be at least involved.

Many clues can be found by looking at the Lost Desert TCG checklist. Some cards hold clues.

From what I can gather from the TCG the plot involes the following points.
- Long ago an agreement was made for Prince Jazan and Princess Amira to marry.
- Prince Jazan returns (or appears I dunno lol) and demands them to be married.
- Prince Jazan seems to be from a place called Qasala (new desert map?) but quoted from a tcg 'The living had not set foot in Qasala for centuries, and quite frankly, the evil spirts were getting bored.' so it doesn't sound the NICEST of places
 so i'm sure any battles will be against this place.
- Elsewhere in the lost desert there is a gang called 'the desert scarabs' the ixi, Nabile, and the lupe, Tomos are both members. They are minor theives in Sahkmet and I'm sure they are involed SOMEHOW, and no doubt will end up heros. (this may include 'Megan' an aisha but it is hard to tell from the tcg)
EDIT: I've update my petpage with some *cough* lovely headers (i made trhem a bit big but i might just increase the font size on the page) and added a bit more information.

They aren't serchable on the wiz so that may not be their names, you can't really be certain. As soon as they are searchable i'll update! You know what neopets can be like with name changing from url to item.
