Everyone in the neopets board is wondering the same thing...if we should be doing something else. They're saying that we aren't supposed to be waiting around, that there has GOT to be something for us to do over the weekend. The problem is figuring out exactly what that is.
I don't know...but...maybe we have new battledome challengers, and should be fighting??? The Princess was trying to figure out, how to beat the creatures in the 8th chapter...that seemed to be 90% of this chapter...was trying to figure out what to do, and how to beat them...maybe that's what we're supposed to be doing?...I don't know...just a thought.

I think there must be something we are meant to be doing! Maybe theres something hidden in the source code of a page. TNT have done that with their other plots. I got a Qasalan Mummy as a random event to fight in the battledome the other day, but his difficulty is 550! I'm not even going to bother trying to beat him.

I just read the new fortune teller text too, and as usual TNT is rather ambiguous.... It could be a hint that we ought to do more than watch the furniture being made or it could hint that there's nothing else to do. It wouldn't be the first weekend during this plot where we've had nothing to do. But I do hope there's something... I just don't have a clue, what

Has anyone tried playing with the handful of sand?
Its listed as "special" which usually means it can be interacted with somehow, like food, coins, etc. I tried all sorts of combinations at the cooking pot but no go. I also tried going to the repository with a few stone tables... yah, its a stretch, but better than sitting around doing nothing! :p

Looks like the Rukis have finished the furniture:
The furniture sits in haphazard piles, all sanded and painted. The Rukis relax on some extra benches, taking a break after all their hard work. The eldest Ruki sees you and waves. "Well, we're finally done with all the furniture! Even had some extras. Ah, but before you can put the furniture into the repository, the interior decorator is figuring out where everything goes. Putting down chalk outlines, so I hear." He leans back and sighs. "This oughta be the easy part!"

My guess is that this is a way to allow more people to catch up, so the same few hundred people wont unlock the entire plot.
