actually there is because you can get ANY lost desert items exept petpets becasue thats crule to have a buried petpet well i actually just got a 2 lost desert books.....im so lucky

Well, with 5 or 6 piles of sand I've found one mummified pepper and one burst mummified pepper. yay...not...
Can the actual handfuls of sand be used for anything? I sold some of mine, so at least i got np for them, but with my luck, maybe they're more valuable if you keep them lol

Win? How?
I saw a discussion on the neopian chat boards that some people claimed the handfuls of sand would change into other items and that this was untrue. So how do you "win" something from them?

Sometimes inside the piles of sand there is stuff, so I guess that it's possible that there would be a desert paint brush in it.

ell not win , but when you are digging, I just found out, and it says you have a pile of sand sometimes it says you also find a Lost Desert Paint Brush

well with inside the pile, do you mean the item you sometimes find WITH the pile of sand, at the moment of digging or are people talking about something that happens later, when you have the sand in the inventory? I already know one can find things when "digging" but I wanted to know if the piles themselves were good for anything.
EDIT: OK, that's what I thought.... so the sand is just sand and the digging is what makes you find things...
