Okay, I've been reading the advice other people are giving a thousand times and I swear I'm missing something.
Above the Fire Faerie cavity thing I had the two feathery things, apparently called 'reeds', right? So that's Djo?
The thing about the anubises isn't in my list. So I read that I have to go read a scroll back in the temple with the right symbol on it. The Djo symbol, I assume. I read it, I get kicked out of the temple for twelve hours.
I go back to the repository - my option isn't there. I'm going insane - can anyone help? I'm absolutely stuck!!

I think I know your problem...you need the symbol ON your statue, the one right below the statue. Unfortunately (EDIT: IF you don't know the symbol ON your statue) then that means you'll need to go to your statue and get kicked out (put in the wrong prophecy), THEN find your symbol in the library, so it'll take you another 30 minutes-1 hour to read the scroll. But once you've read the scroll for the symbol ON your statue, you're good to go. Good luck!

Don't worry - I figured it all out. I'd known the symbol all along it just took time for my option to show up. Never mind me.  I'm disappointed that I've missed out on lugging sand - I was hoping to get some goodies out of it :T
