Piece of Tablet turned to Sludge

I will apologize ahead of time in case this topic has already been addressed...I started this plot a little late and am still working on completing my tablet...

My 9th piece of tablet turned into a pile of sludge when I took it to the repair shop - Does this mean that I will not be able to complete my tablet? Or is there a way to get it back?

Ugh...

UPDATE: ya know, I dyed my hair so I wouldn't have those "blonde tendencies" - guess it's deeper than hair color... In the hopes of figuring this out, I went back to the temple and I got another "dirty stone fragment" to go back to the repair shop with. So I've answered my own question...sry.
