I don't know what to do yet, but I didn't see any other posts about this. I'm about to go check Lister691's site...
EDIT: Nothing to report there either, just go in and start reading scrolls?

Here is what you need to do :P
1. Go visit the Chef on level 2. He is located at Row 20-Col. 5.
2. Go to the Gift Shop and you will get an Empty Vial.
3. Attach the Empty Vial and fight the Spirit. You must use the vial during battle. It will then change into a Smoky Vial.
4. Go back to the Gift Shop with your Smoky Vial and you will retrieve a Temple of 1,000 Tombs Souvenir T-Shirt.
5. Go back to the Chef and give him the T-Shirt. He will then give you a Useless Crystal.
I wish I could have kept the trapped spirit  It is sooooo coool!

You can talk to him...there should be a button below the large block, kinda like when you had to talk to the Interior Decorator.

i figured out how to get the level 3 & 4 staircases, but they just led back to the level 2 main one, not the other secret staircase.
Anyone know how to get to the lower secret staircases, iv been wandering around the repository ever since it opened and havnt gotten any further

theres an entrance on the top floor to the one below, which leads to below that, but that just lets you out on the normal staircase whether you have the crystal or not. I found it before i had seen the chef.
I dont know how to get to the other staircases yet, though i did notice that the one on the ground floor (level 1) near the entrance to the basement, had a weird square on it where most other rooms with staircases would have had another staircase. I think the crystal is to be used there. If is clickable from a distance. If you stand under it it seems like sand, stand to the side of it and it seems like a bit of floor (or the other way around) stand diagonal and it doesnt have an image.

im thinking you might have to read certain scrolls, im trying to find and read every type of scroll there, and then try again.

Others on the Neoboards say they have tried reading scrolls, some in the order of their tablet, some with their symbol, etc., and nothing has happened. I've been reading scrolls as I go along, too, not in any special order, but nothing has happened.

there are seven different colours of scrolls:
silver, yellow, green, red, blue, purple and orange,
there are the 12 symbols. Each symbol will have, somewhere at least one (if not hundreds) of scrolls with each colour/symbol combination.
I have found however that there are a couple of scroll combinations that I have not been able to find.
Im going to keep trying to find these, and once I do, then Ill try again to access the stairways and see if anything different happens.
I can hope cant I? lol
I am guesing reading the scrolls will come in useful at some point.
I need to find:
Yellow : paw, cup, eye, chicken
Red: sun, eye, fish
Blue: cup feathers, and the sphere with the line top and bottom
if someone happens to spot where any of these are can you post them for me?
ok, thats like 6am where I am now, and this plot has kept me up all night again. I so wanted to be far ahead with it, but it doesnt look like I will be now I cant figure out how to get to the other stairs.
Ill check back later on when I wake up and see how everyone has got.

Everyone's scrolls are different, so if I did tell you where I found one, you wouldn't find it in the same place!
I have a feeling that getting the crystal is all there is for now. Maybe more steps will be released over the weekend. One can always hope!!

I'm cross-eyed from looking for scrolls. My approach is to read those that have my Lat (cup) symbol. There are 5 different scroll shapes that each have the seven colored seals, so I'm trying to find a total of 35 assorted Lat scrolls. So far I've found 27. Probably a useless quest but it's better than doing nothing. I'm giving up until I have a good night's sleep.

In the middle of a long thread, I saw someone on the Neoboards post a pretty decent-sounding quote along the lines of, "You lost your Useless Crystal? No problem; here's another. These things are worthless!" So either you can, or he/she was lying to get attention. You know the Neoboards; either could be true. (He/she also may have discarded the Useless Crystal and was then given another, which obviously wouldn't help a collector at all!)
*I* tried to get a second crystal but couldn't, although I did not leave the temple and return...nor did I discard my first crystal! I tried the usual tricks of putting the crystal in my SDB and gallery and then talking to the chef again.

I tried going to the Nuria Statue agian with the Crystal, becuase the Chef said something about it, but the same thing happened again...

strange thing.
while trying to find pieces of the tablet, once you got a piece in a room, you were able to put it in your deposit box, then come back in the temple and get another one for free.
But with the vial, t-shirt and crystal, it doesn't seem to be the same.
It would have been nice from TNT to let us "collect" these items, then make them "shopable" once the Desert plot is over.

Okay, so I went and talked to the chef.. and then left the scroll repsoitory.. and then I went to get the empty vial from the gift shop, and guess what? I didn't get one =/ Was I supposed to do something different?

Yeah, you are sooo right. At least the t-shirt would have been nice to keep, too. Funny, but I put the vial in my SDB, but although the souvenir lady found it. I was hoping, I'll get another empty vial to fill and give to her. Sad though. And then I tried it with the t-shirt but is dissapeared, too.
Soory to ask - hope it's not impolite t do - but has anyone of you still connection to maraqua.net? I try since weeks but can't get a connection. Any idea? Am I too stupid? My computer? Or my browser??
Would be thankful for any help.

Juliaspike, you need to complete your tablet (don't know where the instructions on THAT are), and then translate your tablet (again, dunno where the instructions are), and then give your prophecy to the Nuria statue. Then you will get scarabed. Best of luck!

Well, I officially don't have a clue about this yet 
I'm wondering though if the latest Lenny Conundrum is a hint? It's got the same pentagon shape in the same 7 colours as the seals on the scrolls... but since I don't understand the conundrum i don't really get the hint either. IF it is a hint...

well I finally understood the lenny conundrum and now I don't think there's much of a connection between that and the repository.
For what it's worth i've tried reading symbols/scrolls in the order on my tablet (following one colour) and that did nothing, and I found a rack with 7 nems on it, one of each colour, and read those and that did nothing either. I'm trying to find more racks with seven colours/one symbol to see if that might be what one should be looking for... but no luck yet...

I thought it might have to do with the *other* stuff on our parchments. (For the scrolls and maybe for that elusive other avatar too.) I went so far as to print my screenies and cut them out like a little deck of cards. I tried adding up how many of each color/door/symbol looking for a pattern. If there is one, I can't find it.

I know its probably a waste of time, but iv set my mind to reading all the scrolls in this place lol.
Iv been at it for a while now, and have 1/4 of the ground floor (level1) done. *deep breath*
Im hoping that reading them all will do something, and if nothing else, it will probably give me some good random events. Nothing better to do right now haha
