I'm just now getting to reading my first scrolls, and from what I hear, the plot may be over by the middle of the week. This is just really discouraging, and I'd like to know if I should keep trying or just give up now, because I don't think I can manage going through all those scrolls and crystals in three days.

That part that took the longest time was finding when my map room lit up. The second longest part was finding my Spike Trap room. taradith suggested looking for your trap room at the same time that you are doing your scrolls and trying to find when your map room lights. I think it's good advice. Also make a note of any Jelly and Riddle room you come across.
If you are lucky, you can finish in three days.

I suspect you get points for each part of the plot you complete along the way, so if they are giving prizes, it can't hurt to get as far as you can in the time left.

ok i have a question, i have not been playing for awhile and now i am back, what and where is the lost desert plot? is it the little comic thing that was on the news the other day???

Yep. And a whole lot besides. This has been a series of puzzles and activities as well, some of which you can start, and some of which you have missed. We speculate that each part you complete represents "points" in the same way that war supporters earned points in the last plot.
It's been much too complicated to try to detail in one post. I know there are some great pet pages that detail how to complete each section of the puzzles but I don't know which pet pages they are. =\ Maybe some nice person here has a list of those pet pages still bookmarked on their computer.

Try the other threads in this section of the forum.
Or try some of the petpages people have posted- they are pretty detailed and helpful.

I'm also way behind. I just started the scroll repository... Found my first useless crystal but I need to read the scrolls. I'll never finish in time. *sigh*
