Ahh, finally our prizes have been relased, I am filled with glee, and I wonder, what all did everyone pick? I know it depends on how many points you got, but I'm curious.
I personally spent my 23,800 (Dune Explorer) points on:
- Foreman Cudgel
- Gelatinous Non-Cube Plushie
- Useful Crystal
- Spike Pit Play Set
(Heh, I'm just kinda impetuous that way, I don't really care what the items are worth or what they do, I just picked ones I liked.)
And now I have 800 points I don't know what to do with, I really don't need that much sand. Although I love my Shiny new trophy(s).

You politely remind her and she peruses a clipboard with quite a few sheets of paper attached. It's a GIANT list of names. "I'm sorry. You don't appear to be on the list. I can only award prizes to those who had some hand in helping restore Sakhmet and it appears that you aren't one of them. Thanks a lot, buddy!" She sighs and sits back down in her chair. You fear she's resumed her daydreaming and there's nothing left to do but head back out into the desert.

Aw, sorry to hear. I missed the First Desert War and the Hannah plot, I'm still a little miffed as the first desert war only lasted a few weeks and I was on vacation!

I'm still deciding on how to spend all the points I have. I made it through to the end, so I can get a lot of smaller stuff or a couple of the more expensive things.
I'm curious about the two rings, I'm wondering what they do. I also think I may have to get a copy of the Anubis Toxicology Reports book, just to remind me how much that section drove me insane.

I would have gotten the Royal Wedding Ring without a doubt if I had had that many points, you can always purchase the smaller stuff later, as it will undoubly be much more common, and thus much cheaper (since more users will have achived fewer points, and thus redeemed them for smaller items). I probably will, although there is a certian pride in purchasing the items with your points, spesifically.

Sorry you missed the plot, Tritail. In many ways it wasn't worth all the trouble, but we'll see how much the plot items sell for I guess. 
I have EXACTLY the same as MissJerseyBlue, and this time I'm going to wait a bit too. I guess I'll buy when I want to resell my things? I'm thinking books though. The bigger/rarer items are GENERALLY the best to buy, but not in all cases...sometimes a weapon or whatever that's worth more is fairly useless and/or ugly, so the price goes down.
(I am definitely going to get a Lat keyring; I love Lats! But I'll probably buy it from a user shop. Is the value of the Lost Desert Paint Brush going to plummet now?)

The 1000 point items, with the exception of the keyrings, are going for about 3,000 nps in some shops already. I'm thinking that I'll buy most of the 1,000 point items from shops and stock up on the Tep keychains. Keep one, sell the rest. I already pounced on the Anubis Tox book. I can still get the Wedding Ring, but I kinda want an idea of what it does first.

yeah, desert pb price may go down thanks to those prizes. BUT those books will soon become REALLY expensives. Mostly the anubis toxycology one.
I would have loved getting ALL the prizes for my desert collection, but it will apparently be impossible. (getting one book to read and another to collec, of each, getting all symbol keyrings (may be unexpensives), etc... *blows his head off*

I got 179,300 points too. I feel like I ought to buy Secrets of Dirigible Construction for my misspelling gallery (then/than confusion in description), then there are the books for my smart pet, plushies for my collection, the paintbrush, and perhaps the weapons if they're any good. Oh and the Useful Crystal 'cos that's pretty funny.
I'm hoping with all the time and attention people put into making pet pages with the plot details, someone will make one about the prizes and what they do as well...

I had 38,800 points. I gave up when I got to the part where you had to trudge around the Repository, reading scroll after scroll. It was just too dull for me :P
Anyway, I got the Annals of Insanity and all the cheaper items. I LOVE the Gelatinous Non-Cube Plushie and the description to the Spike Pit Play Set. :D

Cool! That's the highest point count I've seen so far. I take it you moved more blocks and sand? I only moved 16 piles of sand and 5 blocks. I assume I completed all the steps. You?

I have 134,300 points. I stopped working when they put up the fake ending, and I rushed to finish and did not do the fake Prophecy.
I'm unsure of what prizes I want, I want at least one book, and maybe the PB.

Wow, I received 1000 points (and the rank of Sand Mite) just for getting the pyramids thing (which was an accident) and randomly clicking around the temple. Anyway I don't know what I'm getting, all the 1,000pts things look neat.

179,300 points here too. I've bought the 1000 point items- except for keychains- from shops and was about to start on the more expensive ones when the site decided to stop loading. At this point I don't really know what I'll get with my points.
It sure was tempting to select one of the rings to sell immediately. There was a buying frenzy on the Battledome board with some amazing offers floating around. When I looked no one even knew what the battle stats are for the rings.The books were also in demand. What to do, what to do...

The plot was primarily about puzzle-solving. Unlike the Maraquan war plot, I don't think these points had anything to do with how many times you clobbered stuff in the Battledome. (I suspect they didn't have anything to do with how many blocks you moved, either...let alone how many pieces of furniture you moved, agh!)
Also, TNT apparently doesn't want to make any more wars that give people with strong pets the advantage when it comes to points; that's why the "ranks" were instituted in the first place. The days of taking potshots at the bad guys are over, I'm afraid.
(Summer, SOME people are buying up the rings now, while they're not activated; they're gambling that the rings will be awesome BD items and go up dramatically in price. That's the most likely thing to happen IMO, but they could just be defensive items and almost useless. Or they could be awesome defensive items, or mediocre offensive items. Who knows?)
EDIT: Wyndriel, I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, the books are almost guaranteed to go up in value, and will increase more, the more you wait....on the down side, it could require patience to get the best price.
