I've seen mention that the what the janitor says after you've found your latest constellation is a clue to what the next one will be. Looking at the evidence now, I think it's actually a clue to WHERE to look for the next constellation.
5) Fun watching the lights up in the ceiling: disco ball reflecting lights up near the ceiling
4) Were you born in a barn: look out from inside a farm building
3)Those lights above each statue sure are pretty when they light up: the lights on the ground light up when you click on them
Not too sure about 1 & 2, unless curse you is a reference to the tomb - anyone else notice it's barred on the OUTside as if the need was to keep something locked inside?
It's always easiest to see/make connections after the fact of course and there may be nothing to this...

That's really interesting! I kind of have to agree with you on that.

I still think that the janitor gives hints, if you can figure them out. They might be hard, but you have to admit that they have been corresponding with the constellations somewhat.

If the janitor was supposed to be a deliberate clue he's point to things that we knew existed not wthings that don't and all f a sudden appear.

Unless the Neopets Team is leaving us a clue like they did in the Mystery Island mystery with the Island Mystic, I would have to say that they put the janitor there just because he originated from the Lost Desert Plot. Next thing you know, they will be including the Grundo Chef in the plot.
