So I assume this is the new plot... but I'm already quite lost with the puzzle.

Currently on the second stage and completely lost.
One Anchor facing up, three rectangular boxes all vertical, one verical sack, one horizontal sack, one mop and bucket facing down and an 'S' like shaped rope.

As far as I am aware you can't rotate the items.

I'm afraid all the puzzles are different; at least, my stage 2 was totally different from Gooly's. It didn't take me too long to get through mine...but TNT might have read me defending the Acara portion of the redraw and thus blessed me with an easier puzzle. ;) Sorry to those of you who are having troubles! I found it helped to get the larger thing (anchors and mops) placed near an edge and get them all blocked together, and then go from there. Your mileage may vary. (I found no way at all to rotate the objects.)
As to the plot, the art looks great (IMO) and the setting is interesting. With the possible exception of the captain, all the characters seem to be utter stereotypes at this point--the professor and his daughter (complete with naysayers), the sly adventurer, the wide-eyed stowaway, etc. But it's interesting to see a Xweetok with glasses. I was very worried about the lack of female characters and characterization in the first chapter of the Tale of Woe and the story turned out to have some depth, aside from the usual weak ending, so I'll withhold judgment on the story here, for now.
(Was that a Jacques cameo in the tavern, BTW? )

I don't know how but I solved my puzzles. *wipes brow*
I wonder if there will be any battles in this plot. I hope so. Just so long as it's not like the Lost Desert plot. I kept getting lost in the temple.

I thought I saw a cameo appearance of a Lupe-verson of Bruno arm wrestling that girl Kougra from Kou-Jong. XD
I'm on the third stage, and I already did the puzzle two different ways, and still it won't go through. O_o How many is there anyway? Does anyone know? It's sort of freakin' me out at the moment. ...But I kinda like it. I'm good with puzzles... usually.
Edit: Forgot to add---I LOVE that Captain's responses to everything... and that Lutari is SO freakin' cool---he looks slick. XDDD Sauve, too. *chuckles*
Second edit: Finished the puzzle! Woot! It changed when I went back, and I got it. XD

I just completed the 3 stages of the puzzle - on the last one, I had to try several times before I could get it to work. Seems to be a good plot! I agree with Puffkins, that Lutari is awesome, and I love the Captain's responses. ("You're not exactly filling me with confidence here, Professor.")

Took a bit, but I got all three puzzles completed. Not too bad, since you can play with the spacing pretty easily.
Pretty intriquing.

i feel like I'm boasting if I say I found mine really easy and figured them out in about 5 minutes. Okay so I am boasting. Sue me.
I guess its cause its a spacial puzzle. I do well with those apparently.

Looks like a lovely plot! I love the colours of the comic, with the beautiful leafy silhouette at the bottom! Oh, and the characters are charming! And different species! Hurrah!
I've managed to complete the first two puzzles (despite repeatedly trying to add that water bucket at the side onto the grid! doh!) but I'm stuck on the third one, keep on fiddling with it and getting ever so close.. yet not right! Argh! I'll have to try again tomorrow
Time for the guide writers to get to work
(Oh yes, and not so impressed that they've released a whole plot and yet not one single piece of clothing for their new dynamic customization! Pah! What a joke!)

No, I know you can't rotate things, what I mean is why is that captain stubborn enough to tell the dude he can't flip stuff around?
That Lutari is such a...what's the word...
That Shoyru that was there for like 2 seconds owned.
Is that captain an Ogrin, and what is Scrap?

I don't think there will be guides for the puzzle because everyone has something different. The best thing you can do is walk away. I was working on the last one last night and I quit and went to bed and when I woke up this morning to try agian, I got it on the first try.

The strategy I used was I set the anchor and the two wierd sets of rope first. The I slotted the mops in moving the ensemble a space up down etc, then lastly the planters and the sandbags.
Of course if you can't do it first then just start over a few times.
