Hey guys
Just need a couple of opinions.
Just spent the better part of 3 hours trying to get a complicated userlook up that looked simple.
Some hard work but think I succeeded. What do you think?

Very pretty-ful. I love the stars. And I think you did a great job making something so complicated look simple. 
Did you work out all the code yourself or did you get help?

Ahh cheers summer I couldn't find this bloody forum when I was trying to post and now I see its way down there.
I actually did all the coding myself. Just what i knew... I could turn off the header and footer but don't liek how it looks so left them in. The only help I had was putting ht ebackground in the modules. Looked at the code for someone else's lookup.

Fantastic job then! That is the way I worked out how to do everything as well- by looking at other people's lookups and TNT's source code and finding out which changed what.
If you ever feel like tinkering more on your UL, then these are two of the stylesheets Neopets uses for ULs: (the first one is the global one and the second one is the image specific stylesheet- which is the Qasalan one as that is my current sidebar theme)

No offfence taken but when I started on neopets some years ago everyday I'd ahve 15-20 requests to either be someone's boyfriend or pair my pets up as someone else's pet. Really did my head in.

nah keep it. it gives me a good laugh
tnt outlaws a lot of stuff that are normal to human society. in the past few years i must have broken the other half that doesn't have to do with dating . such as mentioning my liberal views on current news, religion, medicine, history like the cause of ww2, of other virtual pets sites/neopets comeptition...

well, I was all for giving my opinion of the layout until I read the script you so boldly posted. First thing that hits my mind is that this is a user that thinks he's "all that" and ask any female - those who brag, need too, cuz no one else will. So, word to the wise....as you said years ago' you got hit w/all kinds of "offers" (LOL) change up the public's entrance view of you.... ..nothin but love here (no I'm NOT hittin on you).

Give the opinion on the layout...
As for being all that i can't help that all the 13 yr old girsl hit on me. Its my animal magnetism (that's sarcasum by the way). I don't think many people rememebr how crude and annoying it was before. Though on a serious note its sacary how many young kids message me randomly on neopets and on here as well actually.
And to be honest on Neopets i'm pretty antisocial. Very few peopel I talk to on neopets. Most people is through here.

young kids message me randomly as well. but i don't find that that messaging me is crude or annoying unless their message was impolite
i remember when i was 13, i was still beating up the boys

I really like your user lookup and would love to be able to put my background in all table cells as well. Would you mind sharing the code, how you got your page to look so good?

i've sent it to you in a pm.
But here is a hint. if you see someone's page and you like it on the view menue click source. You can then see what the person did to change their page and with a bit of fiddling change your own page.

I know about the source view but thought it easier to ask. And I also didn't want to use you code without asking you since you said you put a lot of time into it. Now that you've sent me the code I will try to make my user lookup nicer using it.

I'm not really worried about someone stealing my code if I'm honest. Yeah i wrote it but if I didn'tknow how to do it i searched it on google so no big deal really.
I'd prefer if peopel read and understood the code first before using it. That way its not just a cope and paste job but oh well.

And I can proudly say I do that, I found the missing } in the code I got.  I actually used to do some very simple web designing like 7 years ago or so, before I got ill.
My user lookup still looks great every time I go to it, I can't seem to stay away.

yeah that was my fault... when i sent you the code i missed it off by accident. I love the background. pretty spiffly. I've never been able to draw a repating background liek that. need to work on it though.
I only got back inot web designing about 6 months ago. the last thing id'd designed before that was a very professional website for a student society from when I was in university. Did my myspace recently and it look the bomb. well ticlked with how that turned out. Borrowed some code from a website but it works well.

The background is not mine. I found the starry background on neopets site, it was there if you wanted to use it. I love starry skies for so many reasons but I won't go into them here. The lace background is from a site where all the graphics are free to use. I think it looks good on the user lookup, it's not too much and it makes it more pleasant to watch then the plain white. I prefer things simple on the web, it appeals to me.

Hadn't even realised this post was still going. lol.
I've not got around to really editing my pets pages. Though to be honest I dont really care much about the pets pages. But the pets lookups are a different matter. I will probably sit down at some point and realy work these two areas out and write some coding but just can't be bothered at the moment.
