Well as long as Krawk Island stays in third of fourth place, there's still a chance for them to make it to the finals. And you never know! Team Shekuu is really surprising, coming up from about seventh into the top four.
Runners up did get points to spend, of course, not as many, but still a fair amount.

This year, I think the 1st and 2nd place teams play for 1st place (with runner-up being 2nd) and the 3rd and 4th place teams battle for 3rd place.
Ah...3rd place, here we come, Krawk Islanders!  I think we'll get a trophy corresponding to our rank in the game. I'm glad we can't switch teams (although lucky that I picked one of the top 4). I want to support the team I like!

Yes, I am so sure of yesterday's score didn't get update, hopefully will update soon/tomorrow
750 times of MSN must be really tiring! I somehow think shield doesn't matter much having hear Seren played that much  I hope everyone who put effort in this year Altador Cup will get a fair share with prizes at the end.

I got an option to choose a new team and don't know who to choose. i may go with darigan... Wouldn't mind that as a paintbrush for winning.

Well, until someone manages a Pirate/Ninja Hybrid... my preference, at least with the choice of Neopets, will be Pirates. The ninjas on neo just don't make the grade.
