We used to have a topic for this. I liked it, so I decided to create a new one.
I'm mainly listening to Killer Queen and Seven Seas of Rhye, by Queen. But I've also discovered a band called Trans-Siberean Orchestra, and I think they're really cool. So I'm listening to them, too. But I'm still mainly listening to my Queen. I do like Queen

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Electric Six, especially the songs off their Fire album. I'm particularly fond of "Synthesizer," "Danger! High Voltage," and one with a title I probably can't post here. xD

Now, now, don't intrigue me so!
Mainly me "Rage" mix which includes AFI and VNV Nation... with that amazing sound system in my car. When Death of Seasons comes on and my whole body is vibrating... I can't use the word here, but that's what it is.

Hmm....okay.
For Christmas, my brother gave me a CD called Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga by Spoon. I sort of like it...(yes, I know the title is a bit odd)
I also used to, not as much anymore, listen to a band called the Klaxons.

I've been listening to a lot of Toby Mac. My favorite songs are LMI and Phenomonon. Yes, I know you have no idea who he is, but that's okay.

A couple days ago I bought the album A Night at the Opera by Queen, and so I'm listening to that now. I think it's terrific! It's a very good example of Queen's music.

Their early stuff was very fantastical which made it twice as fun.

Oh yes, definitely! I like fantasy music (that's what I call that sort of music), only it's just too bad that they just don't write and record that stuff anymore. I mean, back in the 70's and stuff they had Queen and the Beatles, and nowadays we've got rap and hip-hop. TSO is probably the only good thing to come musically out of our modern times that I've heard at least. But that fantasy music is something I admire, and I write and record my own songs about that sort of thing. I want to become the next "fantasy singer", and since I'm going to join a band this year, I'll at least have the chance to do that.

Heh... closer to the 60's for the Beatles, and late 60's early 70's for Queen.
I honestly can't say as though the Beatles did anything I would refer to as fantastical...

I didn't mean that the Beatles did anything fantastical. I just meant that they're better in comparison to modern music.

Um... well, lately I've been obsessing over "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven, and "Won't Go Home Tonight" by Maroon 5, and "Poison" by Alice Cooper. ^^ Love "Poison"...
And I love TSO! Especially "A Mad Russian's Dance", the ultimate Revenge of the Sugar Plum Fairy! Yeah... I love the Nutcracker music.
And since I see discussions on Queen and The Beetles; uh, I like their songs, but I don't fangirl over either one of them. I've always been a fan of "Twist and Shout" since I was a kid (that's the music I grew up on and all), and I'm not sure which Queen song is my absolute favorite, but I like quite a few of them.

That's a little vague. The Bealtes were one of many to cover Twist and Shout, admittedly, it was the best cover.
The March of the Black Queen, Nevermore, and Who Wants to Live Forever are probably my favourite Queen songs.
In My Life and Sexy Sadie are my favourite Beatles songs.

Yesterday, I did a little "raid" (that's what I call it when I take my parent's CD's and listen to them) of my mum and dad's music and I discovered that my dad owned the album Led Zeppelin III. So I listened to it. I think it's cool. Especially the Immigrant Song.

Achilles Last Stand is my favourite Zeppelin song. Trampled Under Foot and When The Levee Breaks are also way up there.
And I'll never be able to deny Stairway to Heaven. Most people will only know them for that song. Like Queen is mainly known for Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions and We Will Rock you... all three of which are pretty blah compared to their other stuff.

That's the only version of "Twist and Shout" I've heard, honestly---but I like a lot of songs from the 50's and 60's, but I couldn't name off the song and artist off the tops of my head like I can with 80's and beyond music. I leave everything before 1980 to my mom. *LOL*
I quite like "I'm Going Slightly Mad" by Queen. I was given the MP3 by a friend to listen to.
My preference, of course, is 80's music---that's my decade. :D

The 80's should be forgotten... seriously. I shudder at the thought of its return.
I ended today's walk home from work with Dead on Time from the Jazz album by my lovely boys, Queen.

Today I went and bought the album Abbey Road by the Beatles, and I put it on as soon as I got home. It's pretty much my favorite Beatles album (but then again, I haven't heard many Beatles albums). I especially like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. I wanted to name my pet hamster after that song (but then I just ended up calling him Jude).

Evil BSE, evil! Unless it was Crossroad... I can deal with that. I own that one.
My friend, after three years of trying to "enlighten" me with new bands has finally succeeded. Within Temptation... sounds like an early Evanescence but about ten times better. Lovely.

No bands music should ever stay the same. If you can't grow as an artist, you shouldn't bother.

Alright, BSE! XD Bon Jovi is awesome---no comments Gooly! Livin' On A Prayer is awesome (but so's It's My Life). ^^
Alright, well... I've been obsessed with listening (over and over again) with Broadway's Annie: The Hard-Knock Life & Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile.
Yeah, don't ask---I've adored those songs since I was a kid, so I've recently gotten reobsessed with the songs.

After hearing most of my friends talk about how great they think the Pink Floyd is, I got two of their albums, "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Piper at the Gates of Dawn", which I'm listening to a lot now. I think they're cool.

I got two new albums - Wish You Were Here (by the Pink Floyd) and Fresh Cream (by Cream). Wish You Were Here is, I think, both very sad and very beautiful at the same time.

I REALLY should be ashamed of myself now---I'm liking a LOT of rap songs lately, but a non-rap song I really enjoy is Fergie's "Finally". It's really a pretty sounding song.
...still like "Low", too.

I don't care for rap at all. Frankly, I don't even consider it to be music. It's often quite obscene, too. I just don't like it.
I went to the library and checked out some CD's (yes, I'm one of those people who do that), a David Bowie CD and a Byrds CD. I like them both a lot. I think "Ziggy Stardust" is a cool song.
