They might have been a little outdated, but it was a good guide as to the 'correct' price of an item. I will miss that feature too.

I am very new to posting... but just needed to add my comment; I also use NeoItems.net's NeoPets Item Database several times a week to find gallery and gift items and although the prices were not exactly perfect, they gave a very good idea on the costs. I will miss this feature and am very sorry it is no longer available here.

For everyone here who didn't mind the out dated prices, there were probably ten people complaining about them still being up if they were no longer right. It was just best to let them go.

Don't blame Neoitems -- Neopets is the one that blocked the add-on that made it possible.

I don't think anyone is blaming Neoitems. We are just sharing our general feelings for losing the feature.

I sooooooo miss this feature and i agree that it didnt matter if it was just a little inaccurate, it was an awesome base guide.
Could the price check have been rephrased to "Approx worth" or maybe even items under 1k 5k 10k... etc

The inaccuracies in price would only have gotten worse. It would be like pricing something that still had the price from 3 years ago, or more. I found it very frustrating myself.

Or, if you're really completely insane you could build an Access database of all 24,000 or so items (back when I did this there were "only" 15,000 items), painstakingly query prices off of the normal shop wizard, enter them into Access, then have neoitems change an item index number which suddenly breaks your entire database.
Then again, perhaps that wouldn't be a good way to spend your time. Yup, I was totally jazzed when I saw neoitems using the improveneo prices. *sigh* Now it's gone. I guess it's back to the Access database for me. Phew. Much work. But it is quicker and far more reliable than the wiz--it just takes a couple full-time data entry people to keep it updated. Yeah I was really bored that summer and have four hands. :P
Wow, this is an old thread. Sorry. I can't believe it took me that long from noticing the prices were gone to finally getting curious enough to look up the answer.
And, lest you get the wrong idea, Webmaster, neoitems still rocks! Sorry to complain. Now perhaps I can move on with my neolife.
