I started purchasing book some time ago and putting them into my safty deposit box. My intention was to eventually get the trophy but the more I spend, the more I wonder if it is really worth it. I could read every book I come accross and if the people who have read the most books allready continue reading the new books, what is the point of trying. It is hopeless. They say if you work hard you can eventually accomplish any goal you set, but I do not believe this anymore. There are many goals which are becoming allmost impossable.

I think that if the rules were changed it would still be hard but not impossable. Treating it like a game trophy in which you would recieve honorable mention if you read x amont of books and a gold trophy for reading much more might work but these numbers would have to increase as new books are released.

This could also work for the gourmet food trophy wich is even harder to get.

I think the Gourmet trophy would be harder. There are foods that were gourmet but are now retired. So people who have been going after that for a long time would have an advantage over newcomers who can never get credit for eating some of those foods.
