Someone's guide helped me immensely by saying, drop the rotting, crumbling, and the other vine that sounds like it's falling apart (keep gross and icky, I believe). Make a rope of those and try it. It should say the rope is very strong, but not long enough. Add one of your other vines and try the rope again. If it says it's very strong, or that Sophie and Gilly can climb down, and then Bruno can climb down, but it's too short, you're good to continue, but if it says that Bruno might be able to make it (ie. indicating that it's pretty weak), then take off the last vine you added and try a new one. (I found that one of my vine types wasn't any good at all for rope-making but by pretty much alternating the remaining two types, I did OK.) Repeat the process, testing after EACH VINE, until the rope is just long enough, and you make it to the forest full of those evil evil Meepits.

Ah, that's pretty helpful. XD The question is... which vines are which? O_o Rotting, Decaying, Icky, Gross, and Crumbling, I mean. I'm pretty much about to stab those vines right now... I've been working on it for the past... *looks at the time* Over three hours. *sighs* And now I got to wait until the flash pulls up again. Gah.. X_x
