Firestorm slowly left the library. Aria took another wide-eyed look around and followed her. "Who could tear the defenses down like that, Firestorm?" she asked. "I don't know. They were made to be interlocked, a strong fortress against enemies. Malicious power should just slide off of it. Someone from within had to do it. But not just anyone, someone with power." Firestorm turned to Aria. "There is a traitor in our midst. But who?" Her thoughts spun as they met Thorn coming up the stairs. "Anything in the records?" "The records have been stolen." Firestorm said quietly. "STOLEN?!?! By who? The librarian--" "--is dead." Firestorm said. "The library is trashed, not one shelf untouched. I have the feeling that we'll have books missing, too. Ones that may have helped us in the quest." Aria frowned. "Firestorm, what if the librarian isn't dead? He could tell them a lot, if he had referances to the beginning of the rebellion. I mean, even if they did kill him, it won't be for long." Thorn shook his head. "A good point, but if they knew enough to target that quickly, then they'd already know anything that he could tell them. I have the feeling that we're moving closer to a dangerous trap." Thorn's voice was steady, but his hands shook. "If they send our own dead at us, we wouldn't be able to kill them again. We'd want to welcome them back, even as they try to kill us. We can't trust anyone."

There seems to be more of this in roleplaying every day, so I feel I shall protest here: Please no godmodding or bunnying!
"As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Meat is the anagram of team... I don't know what he was talking about." ~Shaun
